Is chiropractic an effective treatment for back pain?
Yes, there are many studies that have proven the beneficial effects of using chiropractic care for people suffering pain in their back. Our chiropractic team use evidence based approaches, the highest industry standards and works closely with our in house massage team.

Can I use my Health Insurance?
Yes, it is likely that we are registered with your Health Insurance provider however it is your responsibility to check prior to your appointment to make sure you understand the limits of your policy in relation to any claims for treatment fees. We will provide you receipts to claim from your insurer yourself.

When should I see a chiropractor?
Chiropractors treat people suffering joint and muscle pain. Expert in the treatment of lower back and neck pain, discomfort in arms and legs including sciatica and tennis elbow are common complaints that chiropractors can treat. If in doubt call us to find out whether we can help.

Will I need an X-Ray or an MRI scan?
It depends on the history of your condition, it is certainly not standard practice. Usually after a complete assessment in the clinic it is safe to begin treatment without recourse to imaging. Concerns over fractures, infections or serious pathologies will require further evaluation and this will necessitate referral.

What exercises help for back pain?
After a complete assessment we will be able to advise you regarding appropriate and safe exercise. It is necessary to first understand what is causing your pain before recommending exercise. Every individual’s needs are unique and exercise prescription must therefore be bespoke.

How much treatment will I need??
We begin with a complete assessment. You will be asked to give a detailed history of your painful condition and your general health. Our examination of your complaint will identify what is causing your pain including any movement or activity triggers. This is the essential starting point for understanding how to help you recover. Amount and frequency of treatment will vary depending on the results of your assessment. We do not ask you to sign up for generic, prolonged, pre-paid courses of treatment.
